CNN: More Businesses Using Freelancers

The post below about "The Gig Economy" (as Tina Brown dubbed it) generated lots of interesting discussion in the comments section. Seems many of us freelancers are juggling multiple projects. One reader also had an intersting take on Brown's article, noting that there are many purposeful freelancers out there, and Brown tends to lump them together. Would you prefer not to be lumped in with "accidental freelancers"?
