Write a Brief Introduction to Your Blog
Hi, I'm allena, the Guide here at About.com Freelance writing. As a full time freelance writer, I keep a blog as part of my company website.
Provide Details on Theme, Purpose and Content
The "theme" is based on my company logo (see photo below). The purpose is both to help other freelance writers AND to allow potential clients to get a feel for my voice and style. For other freelancers, I write about things that are happening in the freelance writing community, tips on writing, etc. For my clients, I write about upcoming vacation days, scheduling issues, deals and pricing, etc.
Lessons Learned
- I had one client write me after a long lull in my blog and he asked if I was still in business, so I learned to never let too long go inbetween posts.
