I'm a writer and reader of eclectic tastes; there are few things that I'm not at least somewhat interested in. My background is in marketing & sales. Unable to chain myself to just one topic, I've created the Random Review to bring you a variety of content, from straight-down-the-middle useful all the way to left field. I hope you'll find my blog a stimulating mix of humor, useful information, entertainment, and the occasional bit of social or political commentary.
Provide Details on Theme, Purpose and Content
I started this blog for three reasons: First, to provide quality, engaging content on a variety of topics for readers that like something a little different every day. Second, to develop my writing skills. Third, to give me a venue for a series of articles that I hope to turn into a book some day.
Like Seinfeld, my blog is about nothing. You'll find a random variety of subjects covered, some just for entertainment value, some advocating political or social change, and some containing very practical information that my readers can use in their daily lives.
My audience is anyone who, like me, gets weary of the same ol' same ol' day after day.
Lessons Learned
- So far I've learned that just putting a post out into the ether doesn't automatically win you fame and fortune, no matter how clever you think it is. :-)
- The best thing I have gained from having a blog is the motivation to write quality content on a regular basis, because I hope to attract and keep readers, and I know that I have to give my best to do so.
