Byline

By Allena Tapia, About.com

Definition: This is when the writer is given credit by having his/her name appear at the beginning of an article. The byline generally appears near your article's title. Not every article will have a byline directly on the page. See also contributors page and tagline.
Examples: Seeing my byline printed in a magazine is exciting every time it happens!
