Accidental Plagiarism

Tuesday June 30, 2009

Just wanted to make sure all the writers out there saw this one. The New York Times indicated that the editor of Wired magazine accidentally plagiarized Wikipedia (of all the sources to plagiarize!). Chris Anderson has a book coming out soon titled "Free: The Future of a Radical Price," and he let his notes get a little unorganized, thereby causing the passages to go into his text without quotes or attribution. One thing I will say: he's definitely getting a lot of free publicity for the book, which isn't even out yet!
