Odds and Ends from the Mailbox

Wednesday January 30, 2008

Hi writers. I've got a couple things from my mail box I'd like to share with you.

Paula Damiano from the Editorial Freelancer's Association was kind enough to stop by and introduce herself. I myself am a member of the Association, and I've found some worthwhile benefits. For example, there is a page on their website which lists a summary of standard freelancing rate ranges (including writing). There is also a job list available, and I've found it's so much more productive to compete with a few people for freelance gigs from lists like these, than to compete with hundreds or maybe even thousands of people from the free lists that everybody uses.

I also recently ran across the following link for PublishingGame's Gifts for Writers, which I promptly forwarded to my husband, as Valentine's Day is coming up! I'll keep you in the loop on those writerly products...that is if he takes the hint!
